Are you counting housework as exercise? Think again.
Although doing some activity is better than being inactive, according to a study housework may not be intense enough to contribute to weekly target and that other more intense activities also need to be included each week.
In other words, your housework may not be cutting as the weekly recommended exercise of the UK Department of Health. The UK Department of Health recommends 150 Minutes of moderate to intense physical activity a week.

The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services recommends exercise for most adults age 18 to 64 is 150 minutes (2 hours and 30 minutes) a week for moderate intensity as well, or 75 minutes (1 hour and 15 minutes) a week of vigorous-intensity. For more information visit www.health.gov .
